What is UX?
User experience (UX) is the characteristic and effects that the user feels through interacting with the application or website. It also focuses on how intuitive, easy and enjoyable it to use a product. It includes conducting various research to understand the user’s needs and applying them to facilities their experience.
What is UI?
User interface (UI) is the graphical interface that displays the application’s interface and includes a set of interactive elements such as buttons and icons, which facilitate the user’s interaction with the product or service.
It’s considered one of the most important aspects when using any product or service. It is also the interface through which your system will communicate with visitors.
UX design:
Focus: it focuses on the complete user experience during their interaction with the product or service.
Objective: improving the ease, efficiency and comfort that the user experiences while using the product.
Field: it includes research, usage flow and user interactions with the product.
Tasks: understanding user needs, designing the paths users take within the application or website, and the overall user experience.
UI design:
Focus: it focuses on the visual design of the product, meaning the way it looks.
Objective: improve the visual interaction between user and the product through colors, buttons, icons, fonts, and other visual elements.
Field: it includes interface design, colors, buttons, icons and visual layout.
Tasks: such as designing interactive elements that user see and interact with.
In the end, UX encompasses all the experiences that anyone has with product or service, while UI focuses on the means by which a person interacts with the product or service.
How UX & UI work together
UX & UI are two different things and the work of UX designer is very different from that UI designer but they go firmly hand by hand you can't have one without the other. When you creating digital product like website and apps.
